<p>The study investigated how artificial intelligence (AI)-driven platforms affect medical students’ ability to retain medical terms in English for Medical Purposes courses at Nguyen Tat Thanh University. There were 63 students participating in the study, assigned to two groups: an experimental group with 32 members and a control group with 31 members. Employing a quasi-experimental study, the researchers used pre tests, post-tests and semi-structured interviews to collect data. The findings revealed that the experimental group demonstrated better retention rate than the control group. Moreover, the students found the artificial intelligence tools motivating, user-friendly and effective in helping them remember difficult medical terms. These research findings indicate that AI-driven platforms can be integrated into the curriculum for English for Medical Purposes courses to improve students’ learning outcomes.</p>
